Midgets Vs Mascots is about a "documentary" that follows 10 contestants as they compete for 1 million dollars in prize money as part of the will of famous Dallas little person and team mascot “Big Red” Bush.The competetions they compete are bullfighting, gator wrestlings, drinking contests (and then following that a see who can pull first in the bar)ok its a mockumentary but well worth seeing........ oh yeah it also has gary coleman (and his cock in it)

Nuclear Winter, sole’s first mixtape in a projected series, is both a return to his Ice Cube roots and an exploration of the mixtape as a form of folkloric practice. Not only does he cold jack beats from the likes of Kanye, Biggie and Rick Ross, he extends traditional mixtape appropriation by reworking each song’s original theme into a broader critique. Though sole has long made songs from the raw material of recession, the war in Afghanistan, racist immigration law, and the industries of hype, Nuclear Winter smuggles them into the club.

It is a rap edition of the Broadside records of the ’60’s and ’70’s that sought to work as a kind of singing newspaper, reporting on the moment with a radical accent; the Situationists called this détournement, “the diversion of already existing cultural elements to new subversive purposes.” When Woody Guthrie heard the Carter Family’s hit hymn to Christian disconnection with this world, “Can’t Feel at Home,” at a dust bowl refugee camp in California, he ripped out of the song its exhausted pieties, and with what was left crafted, “Ain’t Got No Home,” a hard truth ode to the dispossessed.

On the record’s first single, “My President,” sole & Jared Paul of Prayers for Atheists (Strange Famous Records) demand the progressive president they wanted to imagine they were voting for. On “Everyday I’m Hustlin’,” sole notes that “even the brokest among us are hard workers,” and asks, “what the fuck is a hustler?” “Swagga Like Us,” with Ceschi Ramos, Astronautalis, & Bleubird becomes a posse cut about the creep of gentrification.

Last year’s Kanye hit “Heartless” becomes a diss aimed at Edward Bernays–Freud’s nephew–and the cynical inventors of P.R. And Soulja Boy’s “Turn My Swag On” becomes “Where They Put My Flag On?”, in which sole details with intimacy the long night of American imperialism. This is pissing in the wind at its finest.

Made by DavetheChimp he had this to say about his work "when I make graffiti in the street I don't write my name.
I developed a way to draw characters with one line, as a kind of tag that is a character and not a name.
I decided to make a stop-motion animation piece of these "tags" as a way to show the movement of them being drawn.
each frame was hand painted on a large sheet of paper, taped to my flatmate's bedroom wall.
the final animation was shown at my solo show ("Searching For The Perfect Line") at Vicious Gallery in Hamburg, alongside the paper the animation was painted on.

This is a review of an album called "This is the album of a band called Adebisi Shank" by a band called Adebisi Shank

So its been a little over a year and a bit since Adebisi Shank released "this is the E.P of a band called Adebisi Shank", since then they toured the E.P extensively through out Ireland, Mick and Lar released an E.P with Terrordactyl , Vin released Rocky IV Reckyrd in his guise as The Vinny Club, ventured into UK and mainland Europe with label mates Marvins Revolt, done a tour of Japan with Lite (who themselves are on tour in Ireland in October) and gained a very enthusiastic American fan.

Adebisi Shank - You Me

The album was produced by J. Robbins (Government Issue, Scream, Jawbox, Burning Airlines and Channels) in Magpie Cage studios in Baltimore, Maryland, the LP was mastered by TJ Lipple (Guitarist with Aloha) at Inner Ear studios in Washington DC.
First off i just want to say the album is addictive , clocking in at just over 23 minutes its goes by in what seems like half that time and with you hitting repeat to hear it again. the album doesn't have the visceral punch that the E.P. had, but this isn't necessarily a bad thing the album is a more cerebral beast then the E.P. with many of the tracks seemly flowing from one to the other, production wise every note is crisp and sharp and i cant find fault with it at all. New HORSE THE BAND music video

The video was filmed live in Belgrade, Serbia midway through HORSE's Earth Tour which was self-funded, self-booked and traversed 45 countries in 90 days. The show was packed with crazed Serbians power drinkers who, before entering, had chugged innumerable 3-liter bottles of beer and gorged themselves on 5 pound hamburgers. They had come from far and wide. These were rural wildmen.. hill people. The venue was a cramped, smoky dungeon, with an overflowing bathroom, no security, terrible sound and a tiny stage that emptied onto a slimy concrete staircase, which was to serve as a battleground for the hundred or so fanatics in attendance. Things were looking good. And from the first note, it was nonstop anarchy, a heaving tangle of violence and hilarity as brutish men and merciless women performed a dance of death, hurling themselves and their opponents to the floor, crushing each other in 20-something dogpiles, tearing steel fences from the floor, destroying the few functioning light fixtures, removing their clothes, and coming dangerously close to ruining HORSE's equipment and ending the tour. ACID MOTHERS
Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O. was formed in 1995, so this year 2005 marks our tenth anniversary. Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O was originally intended as just one part of the Acid Mothers Temple Soul Collective, but over the past ten years it seems that most of our fans have taken them to mean pretty much the same thing. Of course, many of you will have been aware of the various other groups that have come out of the Soul Collective. But it is also true to say that Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O. was the core of the collective. But I have never seen Acid Mothers Temple as the collective name for any particular unit or group - rather it is a description of the souls of all those who have gathered together under our slogan, and it is an attitude to life. Acid Mothers Temple is a place of refuge, a hometown for all those excluded by mainstream society who find some resonance in our slogan, "Do Whatever You Want, Don't Do Whatever You Don't Want!!"

At the end of our European tour in the fall of 2004, Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O. decided that this was the last time that we would play such a long tour. Over the years we have tried to play wherever there are people who want to hear us, and we have tried to make our music easily accessible by releasing albums on labels from many countries. We believed that was the best way to reach the fans around the world who have found something to love in our music. However, the repeated lengthy tours (often with no break between them) and the raging torrent of releases have finally begun to wear us down. And if you look back at rock history, even the greatest bands found that their peak lasted for just a few years before they were exhausted by the grind of touring and recording.

Even before the fall 2004 tour I had begun to feel the same warning signs with Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O. that I had previously experienced in other groups. By the end of the tour, just as I expected, we were physically and mentally exhausted, like a group of dinosaurs on the brink of extinction. That was why we decided not to undertake any more extended tours. We need to take some time out to recharge our reservoirs of cosmic energy, which is just about run out. It feels like I have been slicing off parts of my soul, in compensation for which the group has been granted a modicum of success over the past couple of years. But I no longer feel the need to continue with the group if it means that Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O. will become just one more ordinary rock band. At the beginning Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O. did not even exist as a normal group. And to this date we have never had an 'official' lineup - the group has only ever existed as temporary assemblies of likeminded musicians, a miniature soul collective. But through constant touring and recording, I feel that the lineup has fossilized, and the free communion of souls we enjoyed at the beginning has been virtually lost.

Just before setting off on the fall 2004 European tour I accepted a booking for my solo unit, Mothers of Invasion, in Osaka for January 2005. At the time I imagined that we would just play the gig as Mothers of Invasion with a new lineup. But later I began to feel the need for some powerful, new force that could stand against the virtually extinct dinosaur of Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O., a worthy rival who could read the last rites to the corpse. Perhaps I felt this need because I had nothing to replace the declining power of Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O. Everything that exists in this universe consists of two elements. Just as ancient Chinese yin-yang five-element philosophy states, in everything there are two opposing forces - a front and a back, a yin and a yang. Without the balance between these two forces, the motion of the universe would cease.

With that thought in mind, I chose to mount an attack Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O. myself. Of course, if this attack were to succeed I would need musicians just as powerful, if not more powerful, than Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O.

The first person who voiced their agreement for my ideas was my old friend and partner in Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O., Higashi Hiroshi. He and I are like two sides of the same coin, yin and yang, and without any explanation from me he immediately grasped my intentions. We decided to take the members of Mothers of Invasion and shift them to the new group, giving birth to a new Acid Mothers Temple. Just then I received a transmission from my own cosmos - the group should be named Cosmic Inferno. It was utterly fitting for this is truly a battle between heaven and hell, between The Melting Paraiso U.F.O. and The Cosmic Inferno.

Though we shall henceforth be Acid Mothers Temple & The Cosmic Inferno, the new group will also be known in short as Acid Mothers Temple and this will no doubt sow confusion in the minds of many. But the true manifestations of Acid Mothers Temple are many - Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O., Acid Mothers Temple & The Cosmic Inferno, Acid Mothers Temple SWR. The future may see yet other groups bearing similar names. But each and all of them will be true manifestations of Acid Mothers Temple.

Thus, on this the tenth anniversary of the founding of Acid Mothers Temple, I announce the birth of the hellchild, Acid Mothers Temple & The Cosmic Inferno.

Rob Crow's ten-point guide to writing the perfect indie-pop song

1. Haircut
No one is gonna take you serious unless you have that ‘indie’ look, so I suggest not washing your hair for a bit and then putting some weird jelly-type product in it and then scruffing it up a bit. IMPORTANT: make sure that yours eyes are obscured just enough so that you look ‘mysterious’. Eyeliner is welcome, just don't put on so much as to look Goth/Black Metal.

2. Start a band with likewise enthusiasts
I suggest Hot Topic, or the food court. Just pick out the most attractive kids with makeup that are trying to be noticed acting like they aren't trying to be noticed. Maybe pick up a Crass sticker while you are there (you don't need to know who they are).

3. Band name
This is easy. Just copy these names: "Charles Bukowski, Kurt Vonnegut, and Chuck Palahniuk". Now paste them into Google and pick the name of one of their books (they are authors) at random. If you are feeling like doing a little more research (NOT RECOMMENDED), there is this weird reclusive author (all you need to know) named J.D. Salinger and you can use one of his character's names. I'm sure you can find these on Wikipedia. IMPORTANT: avoid reading these guys! It could accidentally start a downward spiral into sincerity (it usually doesn't, but still...).

4. Stickers
The second you've chosen a name, before you even have your parents buy you instruments, make copious amounts of stickers and put them up on every club bathroom, street sign, and record store window (make sure they are next to impossible to peel off of glass conveniently).

5. What is everyone else doing?
Look, making up your own distinct voice is JUST TO HARD and no one will understand you anyway. There will never be a Bob Graettinger Edition of Guitar Hero. Nobody likes a snob, so just turn on the radio and find a song you like and then just write a more boring version of it. REMEMBER: when singing, actually caring or having a sense of humour will get you nowhere, but ACTING like you do will be just transparent enough to let people know you are just as vapid as they are. Choose a character from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and pretend you are them. Or maybe some one from a Wes Anderson movie (and you can rip off one of the songs in there while your at it).

6. Spam
Endless announcements on MySpace, Facebook, and especially other band's chatrooms, websites and fan pages. These are the things that get you noticed. Be sure to hand out flyers at inappropriate events.

7. Send band photos to major label record companies.
This is what REALLY gets you signed, and nothing says ‘indie’ like being on a major label. Be sure to stress how much you sound like Modest Mouse (Epic Records) meets Radiohead (previously EMI) with a Death Cab For Cutie (Atlantic) vibe (or words to that effect). This apparently does some Jedi mind-trick on them and it doesn't seem like they care, so they might not check.

8. Record Producer
The quality of the song is negligible compared to sound of the recording. Even if you record it yourself, the record label can hire a hit-maker to recreate a perfect radio-friendly single.

9. Video
C'mon, you just can't take a song seriously if it doesn't have a video! Remember to stare out of as many windows as possible and keep that "Why are we standing in a field / abandoned building / empty theatre?" look off of your face.

10. Publicists
These are the people who get your song on a Hummer commercial and THAT'S WHERE THE MONEY IS.

They belong to the Baltimore Wham City collective, known for artists such as Dan Deacon, Ponytail, Lizz King, and many others. O’Meara was born in Maryland and enjoys tree-climbing, playing the electric bass and vibraphone, deathwish-biking, smile-faking, and copyright-infringing, among other hobbies. Their live performances feature O’Meara’s video projections from his drumset and singer Triplett’s awkwardly motionless stage presence. Yeldham’s live performance consists of grinding his face into a sheet of mic’d up plate glass. It is hideous for a variety of reasons. One is that the transparency of the glass means you get to view his face all squished up against the other side of the glass like a kid on a special bus wiping his nose down the window as you overtake them on the motorway. Another reason is the sound really is quite nasty. The resonant properties of the glass means as he yells onto/into it and then pulls and squeezes at the sheet, the pitch of his voice wildly varies and wavers and this in turn is run through some truly ugly processing that makes it sound like a Dalek in it’s death throes.”
